The Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida has a valuable cost-effective resource provided by everyday citizens who serve as court volunteers and interns. Through the Volunteer/Intern Program, citizens and students can take advantage of opportunities to enhance their careers and knowledge while providing a valuable service to our community. Our program promotes community awareness of, and involvement in, the judicial branch of government through volunteers who serve as administrative, informational, and educational liaisons between the courts and the community.
All internship and volunteer opportunities are non-paid positions. If an approved internship is offered through a school, college or university, academic credit may be granted upon prior approval from the circuit. The number of interns and volunteers accepted depends on the needs of the circuit at the time of application.
To apply, complete and submit a State of Florida Application. Those interested in a judicial internship must also submit a cover letter, resume and writing sample. Volunteer Mediators must be certified by the Supreme Court at the time of application.
