On the evening of Tuesday, June 19th, Steve Simon, Head of Court Administration's Project Management Team, received the Prestigious Arnie Wilkerson Memorial Court Service Award from The George C. Young American Inn of Court. The award honors individuals working in the judicial system who display the highest standards of character, integrity, and ongoing dedication to the judicial system.

Steve has dutifully worked for the Ninth Circuit for the past 42 years. Steve has been a fixture in the Ninth Circuit legal community since he started as a digital court reporter in 1976. He rose through the ranks first as the manager of digital court reporters, then as manager of all court reporting services, and currently as head of the successful Project Management Team. Steve works with Judges, attorneys, law enforcement, court staff, and other State and County agencies, and the general public to coordinate resources and space. In today’s public sector environment of increased workload and diminishing resources, Steve manages to keep all court facilities running efficiently and effectively. Steve’s continued passion and commitment serve as a model for all court administration employees.
