This week, the Orange County Courthouse welcomed visitors from De Montfort University in Leicester, England. The group consisted of second and third year law school students on a study abroad trip. Their goal is to participate in an advocacy program led by their professor, Dr. Karolina Norris, in conjunction with the University of Central Florida.

The students were only here for a week, but we are glad that they took the time to visit our downtown courthouse. They received a 30 minute tour of the facilities before they sat in on a criminal trial heard by Judge Leticia Marques to witness first-hand the differences between English and American legal practices.
