We are thrilled to share that Cindy Schmidt, general counsel at the Ninth Circuit, has been honored with the inaugural Alice L. Blackwell Service to Children and Families Award (the "Blackwell Award") by the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers (CFAWL) at their annual Pass the Gavel luncheon today.
The Blackwell Award recognizes an individual demonstrating the highest levels of integrity, selflessness, leadership, service to the community, and exceptional dedication to the safety and well-being of Central Florida families. Cindy truly represents everything this award honors. Her compassion, guidance, and commitment has made a difference in our community and the lives of so many. Judge Blackwell herself was also in attendance at the luncheon, which makes it even more special, as this award honors her legacy and the significant impact she has had on our court system.
Cindy has been an invaluable asset to the Ninth Circuit, inspiring all of us with her dedication and hard work. This recognition is more than deserved. Congratulations, Cindy!
