It is with deep sadness that we share with you news of the passing of retired Circuit Judge George A. Sprinkel, IV.
Judge Sprinkel started on the Ninth Circuit bench in 1977 as an Orange County judge and joined the circuit bench 13 years later. For over 30 years he served the citizens of both Orange and Osceola counties in a multitude of divisions, even doing so as one of our Senior Judges. He was a dear friend and colleague to many, and even the first judge many on our current bench appeared before early in their legal careers. He will never be forgotten here in the Ninth, and he will always be missed.
