Orlando, FL -- The Honorable Margaret H. Schreiber was honored with the CFAWL Legacy Award from the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers (CFAWL) on Tuesday, June 17, 2015. The award is presented to a current member of CFAWL who has been a member for more than 15 years and who has demonstrated the highest levels of integrity, leadership and service to CFAWL, the legal profession and the community.

Judge Schreiber was appointed to the Circuit bench in August of 2011 and subsequently elected in August of 2014. During her judicial career, she has presided over Circuit Civil and Circuit Criminal divisions.

She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers, the Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida, and the George C. Young American Inn of Court. When not on the bench, Judge Schreiber is actively involved in civic, school and community organizations, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Benji Watson Cancer Foundation.

In addition to this honor, Judge Schreiber was the recipient of the OCBA Outstanding Service Award in 2001, President of CFAWL from 1993-1994, and Chair to the Florida Bar Grievance Committee 9-E in 1997.
