The Florida Association of Women Lawyers (FAWL) has selected the Honorable Margaret Schreiber as their 2023-2024 Jurist of the Year. Judge Schreiber will receive this honor at the annual FAWL Blue & Gold reception on June 19, 2024.
Established in 2015, FAWL’s Jurist of the Year Award honors jurists who “consistently, fearlessly, and impartially promote the rule of law respecting the equal rights of all who come before them.” It’s given in recognition of a career that exemplifies the highest standard of judicial conduct, integrity, and independence, as well as in recognition of a distinguished career on the bench and contributions to the administration of justice. We can think of no one more deserving of this honor that Judge Schreiber.
Since joining the bench in 2011, Judge Schreiber has tirelessly served the Ninth Circuit and its communities. She has served as an Administrative Circuit Judge in both Orange and Osceola Counties – currently serving as Administrative Circuit Civil Judge, Orange County. Always one to lead by example, Judge Schreiber models the highest standard of professionalism both in and out of the courtroom. She unwaveringly personifies her judicial excellence through her considerable knowledge and commitment to the law, and dedication to service and the administration of justice. It was this steadfast dedication to the law and the community that prompted the Central Florida Chapter of FAWL to give her their 2015 Legacy Award.
Congratulations, Judge Schreiber, on this well-deserved award!
