Court Administration recognizes Ms. Laura Brimmer as its Employee of the Quarter.  Laura works as the Court Operations Manager at the Thomas S. Kirk Juvenile Justice Center.  She has been a dedicated employee with the Ninth Judicial Circuit since 1983.  Laura’s enthusiasm and perseverance have been instrumental in establishing the K-9th Circuit Therapy Dog Program.

The K-9th Program utilizes dogs to comfort children who must testify in court or undergo difficult forensic interviews. As a result of Ms. Brimmer’s vision and guidance, the K-9th Program has steadily grown and become widely accepted for the benefits it provides. In recent weeks, through Laura’s continued efforts, the program was able to welcome “Tonx,” an “ADA Trained” therapy dog, into its ranks.
