The Ninth Circuit is carefully monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and is taking proactive steps to protect the health, safety, and well-being of our community.
Ongoing Operations and Jury
In accordance with the Supreme Court Administrative Order, all jury trials will be suspended for two weeks, starting Monday – March 16. Exceptions will be made for ongoing jury trials; jurors already assigned to a trial will report as scheduled. The Circuit will remain open, and all other court proceedings and core functions will proceed as scheduled.
Prospective jurors, if you were scheduled to report for jury between Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27 – your service is complete.
Returning jurors who have already been chosen to sit on a panel – please report for duty as scheduled.
Event Cancellations
All group tours and all court related-events (large group meetings, workshops, CLE sessions, luncheons, award ceremonies, competitions, etc.) have been canceled for the month of March. Our 4-night educational outreach program – Inside the Courts – will be postponed with the hopes of rescheduling later this year.
Safety Precautions
We are taking every precaution to minimize risk and protect your health while still providing essential services to our community. Increased sanitation measures are being enacted and cleaning crews are regularly sanitizing high contact surfaces throughout all courthouses.
Please continue to follow us here or on our social media platforms (@NinthCircuitFL) for future updates.
