The Conference of Chief Justices and the Conference of State Court Administrators' Pandemic Rapid Response Team has established a new Post Pandemic Planning initiative. Its intended goals are to analyze the impact of the pandemic on the judiciary and the courts' response to it, to provide guidance to the courts on how to safely resume full court operations, and to determine the extent to which the emergency changes made to procedure will remain in place.
The initiative is organized into three working groups: Court Management, Technology, and Communications. Chief Judge Don Myers has been selected to serve on two groups: Case Management - Criminal and Communications. The Ninth Circuit's Court Programs Manager, Kelly Steele, was also selected to serve on the Technology workgroup.
