Position description
This is a non-advocate, professional full-time position, responsible for assisting with the daily and weekend operations of the Children’s Visitation Program ensuring program compliance with court policy and procedures. This position provides direct services to parents and children referred by the Court. In this position you will be required to perform a variety of complex and specialized administrative functions. This position will also provide daily secretarial and clerical support to Family Court Services front desk reception area. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Children’s Visitation Program Coordinator.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, with a major in sociology, social work, psychology, child development, education, communications or a related social science field, and one year of experience in a program of social service or counseling. Responsible experience working with a Family Court Program or Family Court Service, victim’s issues or related social service delivery program may substitute for the recommended education on a year-for-year basis.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to remain neutral and interact successfully with diverse populations and age groups, especially children. Job experience in supervised and monitored exchange programs is encouraged. Having Knowledge of the Court and case management procedures and terminology is required. Having work experience or general knowledge of the Florida Court System would be helpful in this position. This position requires working weekends and after regular business hours as needed, except holidays. This includes traveling to the Children’s Visitation Program satellite location on weekends. Fluency in both Spanish and English is preferred.
Annual Salary $38,001.60. Full-time position with benefits. Osceola County funded. Deadline to apply: Open until filled.
