Position description

The essential function of this position is to assist in the daily operations of the Teen Court Program and Alternative Sanctions Program ensuring that all aspects of the programs are handled consistently, proficiently and with the utmost discretion. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing complex and specialized administrative support to program coordinators; assists in case management functions such as entering new referrals and preparing cases for Teen Court sessions; assist with the monitoring of juvenile participants case progression; ensure program participant’s file is accurately and timely updated; receives telephone inquiries and concerns, and e-mail communications. 

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, be able to work independently, and be detailed oriented. Maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues. Must possess strong communication skills; have excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to remain neutral in stressful situations and work well with adults and juveniles. This position will be directly supervised by the Teen Court Program Coordinator. 

A High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by four (4) years responsible experience in a diversion program, social service program, or Court related program; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience.  Fluency in both Spanish and English is preferred.  This position requires flexible hours including Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

$16.91 per hour, part-time position (24 hours a week) includes evening hours. Osceola County funded. Eligible for leave accruals and retirement benefits but no health benefits.
