Position description

The Family Ties Visitation Program Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Family Ties Visitation Program and reports to the Court Operations Manager – Family Court. Exceptional organizational skills and consistent timeliness are essential to this role. The Program Coordinator role manages the recruitment, training, and supervision of program staff, as well as vendor engagement and compliance to ensure adherence to court directives, timely submission of visit summaries, and accurate billing. It is expected that the coordinator will prepare written reports to the Court regarding participant compliance with court orders, maintains program statistics, conducts research to support best practices, and attends court proceedings as needed. 

This position is responsible for creating and maintaining program materials, including position descriptions, forms, instructional resources, videos, brochures, operations manuals, and training guides to support staff and inform the public. The Coordinator builds and maintains effective working relationships with the Judiciary, Court Administration, the Clerk of Court, and other justice partners. 

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, collaboration, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to solve problems, make sound decisions, and develop teams. Proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data analysis is required, along with a commitment to public service innovation and continuous improvement in court operations. Knowledge of child victimization, the judicial system, and supervised visitation and monitored exchange guidelines is preferred. The ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including individuals in emotionally sensitive or traumatic situations, is essential. 

A bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, public or business administration, social work, criminology, law or a related field is preferred, along with one year of progressively responsible experience, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity. Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
