Position description
The Court Program Specialist II – Probate Civil Case Manager position is responsible for the efficient processing and management of probate and trust cases within the Probate Division. This role provides comprehensive clerical and administrative support to Ninth Judicial Circuit Probate Judges and involves direct collaboration with the judiciary on probate and trust matters. Key responsibilities include case management, preparation of proposed orders, and the conformance and distribution of signed orders to attorneys and litigants. The position also entails reviewing probate and trust case activity reports to generate appropriate notices and orders. The selected candidate must demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strict confidentiality must be maintained at all times. Knowledge of probate, civil law, court rules, and procedures is highly desirable.
A bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, or a closely related field is preferred. Relevant professional experience may substitute for the recommended education on a year-for-year basis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe is required. A minimum of three years of professional administrative or analytical experience is preferred; additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.
