Position description
The Injunction Navigator performs highly responsible work, providing guidance and ministerial support to petitioners seeking injunctions for protection. In the role, you will inform petitioners of court processes and provide hands-on technical assistance to users completing court approved petitions and related forms.
This role requires the ability to work with individuals experiencing emotional or traumatic situations while remaining empathetic and focused on the task at hand. Must exercise a high degree of judgement, discretion, and be capable of maintaining confidentiality and be knowledgeable of the various types of injunctions.
The ideal candidate will work independently, while also maintaining communications with supervisors, peers, and partner agencies. Experience in developing methods for collecting and evaluating data, compiling statistics, and producing reports is essential. You should also be able to assess processes, recommend improvements, and train others accordingly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, along with the ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot fillable forms. Must be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills both orally and in writing, be self-motivated and customer service oriented.
Work will be performed in-person Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Orange County Courthouse.
This is a grant-funded position with benefits, scheduled for 12 months of service, with the possibility of being extended.
