Parking
Participants may park next to the courthouse in the city garage at a rate of $2.00/evening. The City of Orlando is offering this special rate, but you will have to show the attendant a program flyer that you can pick up in the jury room upon check-in. The garage will be open until 10:00 p.m. There is also limited metered street parking around the courthouse, which is free of charge after 6:00 p.m.

Security

Doors will open as early as 5:30 p.m. Please follow the signs and enter the building through the side doors located near the parking garage. All attendees will be required to go through a security scan upon entering the building, so please do not bring pocket knives, nail files, scissors, or other items that could potentially be used as weapons.

Court Interpreters

Court interpreters need to sign in and sign out in order to get full credit for attending the program. Additionally, court interpreters must fill out and turn in a program questionnaire before leaving each night. Questionnaires will be handed out upon check-in. Also, you will receive a Certificate of Completion about a month after the event concludes. It is extremely important that you maintain these certificates for recordkeeping.

Miscellaneous Info

The program begins promptly at 6:30 pm and ends at 8:30 pm. Please arrive early to allow for parking, security, and check-in. Also, if you attend 3 out of 4 sessions, you will be given a Certificate of Completion on the final evening. If you are unable to attend on the final evening but attend the prior 3 nights, you can contact me to arrange for certificate pickup at the conclusion of the program.

Re-watch the program at your convenience on 9th now, the Ninth Circuit's streaming application.

Thank you for registering for the 2022 Inside the Courts program. Further details will be provided as we approach the program start date.

The Honorable Robert Egan
