Committee members work together to ensure the fair and timely resolution of family cases in a constructive and non-adversarial manner, paying close attention to best practices for effective and consistent case management.
Judge Laurent makes a wonderful addition to the committee with her years of work in family court, acquaintance with the local community through mentoring initiatives, and awarded expertise--even in her time as a lawyer. She joins Judge Alicia Latimore, a reappointed member of the committee who has served children and families in the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court for almost half of her judicial career.
