July 1, 2019 marks the beginning of the Honorable Donald A. Myers, Jr.'s two-year term as Chief Judge of the Ninth Judicial Circuit. Judge Myers was elected to the bench in 2010 and has served as the Administrative Judge of the Appellate Division for nearly five years. As Chief Judge, he is responsible for the administrative functioning of the courts and the prompt and efficient administration of justice.
He succeeds former Chief Judge Frederick J. Lauten, who served as chief from 2014 until June of this year. Judge Myers is the 16th Chief Judge of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court.
