During the past twenty years, the population in Osceola County has over tripled. The exploding population growth and parallel growth in demand for court-related services had strained the court facilities past the point of capacity. In 2001, the Osceola County Courthouse opened to the public. The courthouse will serve the citizens of Osceola County well into the 21st Century.
The facility houses the Courts, Court Administration, the Clerk of Court, the State Attorney, the Public Defender, and ancillary services of the Sheriff. The design includes the following:
- 250,000 square feet
- Six main floors
- Twelve courtrooms
- Twelve judicial chambers
- Eight hearing rooms
Courthouse parking is located on the East side of the complex. Street level and garage parking are free.
