Position description
The Ninth Circuit seeks a talented and motivated professional to serve as the court’s Purchasing Specialist. This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties and functions in support of the Court’s fiscal purchasing and travel needs. Responsibilities include working with purchase orders through the state’s eProcurement system, ordering of office supplies and support of judicial and staff travel. This is an excellent entry level opportunity for a customer service driven individual interested working in public service and growing into a potential long-term career with the state court system. The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a close and supportive team of three, have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have the ability to learn and work with unique financial management applications and software. A Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, finance, purchasing or a closely related field is preferred. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended education level on a year-for-year basis.
This is a state funded position with excellent benefits and paid leave & holidays. Anticipated hiring date is January 3, 2024. Limited telework may be optional for this position.
