Position description
Whether you are an experienced professional or a talented new attorney, the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court offers an opportunity for you to engage in meaningful legal work, improve your work-life balance, and develop your legal abilities. Up to 40 hours per week except for holiday weeks. Open to job sharing arrangement/split hours between two qualified candidates. Our Staff Attorneys serve alongside judges, advising on legal matters, providing legal research and conducting case review. As part of our team, you’ll experience the law from the perspective of the court, seeing the court in action and unique approaches in persuasion, argument, and advocacy. As a Staff Attorney, you’ll grow professionally with exposure to a variety of legal matters and novel cases, through training and development of your analytical approach to the law, and through honing your research and writing skills – all while working with some of the top legal minds of our community. $24.79/hr. for members of the Florida Bar and $23.31/hr. if you are not a member of the Florida Bar. OPS/Variable hour employees may be eligible for insurance coverage. No holiday pay, sick or vacation time accrued. Up to 40 hours per week except for holiday weeks.
