Position description
This position is responsible for providing services to respondents/offenders through the active and daily case management process in order to ensure compliance with cases involving provision of final order for protection against violence. Responsible for attending injunction return hearings and assisting the respondents/offenders in providing information and/or understanding instructions for compliance purposes. Responsible for providing information to respondents/offenders pertaining to court ordered classes, surrender of firearms, substance abuse and mental health evaluations, and any other provisions as required by the Court. Responsible for following-up on the respondent’s compliance status with the provisions of the Court Order and provide notifications to the Court, as needed.
Must be able to exercise independent judgment and discretion in maintaining confidentiality with sensitive issues. Ability to interact successfully and communicate effectively with diverse populations, backgrounds, and age groups. Knowledge of Florida State Courts System, including the court process on domestic violence, family, misdemeanor, and felony cases. Knowledge of case management procedures and terminology. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in sociology, social work, psychology, child development, education, communications, or a related social science field, and three years of progressive experience in the case management process and procedures on domestic violence, family, misdemeanor, and felony cases. Progressively responsible experience working with Family Court Programs and/or services may substitute for the recommended education on a year-for-year basis. Bilingual: English/Spanish is preferable.
Salary: $37,232 annual salary with benefits. Osceola County funded position.
