Position description

This position is responsible for processing of probate and trust cases in the Probate division. Provides clerical and administrative support to the Ninth Judicial Circuit Probate Judge; work directly with judge on probate and trust cases, manage cases, prepare proposed orders, and conform and mail copies of orders to attorneys and litigants. This individual will also be responsible for reviewing probate and trust case activity reports for purposes of generating notices and orders. Must exercise a high degree of judgment, tact, and diplomacy. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated, but also must work closely with others. Must maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of civil law, court rules and procedures is a plus.

Bachelor’s Degree and three years of experience in administrative/clerical support is required. Progressively responsible experience may substitute for the recommended education on a year-for-year basis.

State funded. OPS (Other Personnel Services), $17.36/hr. OPS. This position is eligible for insurance coverage benefits. No holiday pay, sick or vacation time accrued. 40 hours per week for an indefinite period. Deadline to apply: Open Until Filled.
