Position description
The Ninth Judicial Circuit Court seeks a Court Program Specialist II, to aid the Business Court division at the Orange County Courthouse in Orlando, Florida.
The position is responsible for serving the court by maintaining databases, collecting, and reporting on case/program data, facilitating court referrals, interacting with other State Courts System and facilitate case management, and performing related clerical support functions. Coordinates with Clerk of Circuit Court in screening procedures developed to identify Business Court cases; investigates party accuracy in the Clerk System. Reviews cases at point of entry into the court system and continues to monitor cases through final disposition, observing confidentiality as required by law. Attends and monitors court hearings to provide information to judge and judicial assistant. Reviews and compiles information for judges on pertinent issues and continues to update cases; provides case summary reports for hearings through periodic reports.
The selected candidate must exercise a high degree of judgment, tact, diplomacy, and maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues. The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Must retain the knowledge of applicable statutes, rules, regulations, laws and ordinances and policies and procedures relating to the administration of Business Court procedures and proceedings.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major study in public or business administration, criminal justice, or a closely social science related field a plus. Two years of professional administrative experience a plus. Progressively responsible experience may be substituted on a year-for- year basis for the required college educational requirements.
State funded position. Possibility of limited remote working upon comprehension of responsibilities and deadlines.
