The Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida has a valuable cost-effective resource: people willing to serve. Through the volunteer/intern/extern program, members of the community are able to take advantage of the opportunities available to enhance their careers and knowledge. Our program is committed to promoting community awareness of, and involvement in, the judicial branch of government while providing assistance by serving as administrative, informational, and educational liaisons between the courts and the community.
All internships, externships, and volunteer opportunities are not paid. If an approved internship is offered through a school, college or university, court credit may be granted upon prior approval from the circuit.
The number of interns, externs, and volunteers accepted depends on the needs of the circuit at the time. Anyone wishing to volunteer must submit an application either online or by mail. Judicial interns/externs must submit a resume and writing sample to be considered for a judicial internship/externship.
