The Family Ties Program is seeking a fluent Creole Observer to supervise Creole and English speaking families who are court ordered to the court’s visitation program. An Observer with Family Ties supervises Orange County families who are court ordered to supervised visitation or monitored exchange as a result of a case involving family and domestic violence. Observers closely monitor and document interactions between parents and children to ensure that both are able to enjoy quality time together that is appropriate and non-threatening. This involves weekend work only. A high school graduate with a minimum of two years course work toward a degree in education or human services field is preferred. Candidates must be able to speak fluent Creole to be considered for this position. Excellent verbal and writing skills. Ability to interact successfully with diverse populations and age groups. Orange County funded position.
